In winter you can reach the cable car in just a few minutes by foot, which will directly take you to the snowy ski area of Racines-Giovo. For hikers and mountain bikers, enjoyable forest and walking trails start right in front of our hotel. The nearby Passo di Pennes and Passo di Monte Giovo transform motorcycling into a unique experience. The city of Vipiteno, 12 km from Racines, is reachable in a few minutes by car or directly by bus, which stops just some metres from Hotel Schölzhorn.

Only 3 minutes walking distance from our hotel, the snowy and sunny family ski area Racines-Giovo is welcoming you. You will find plenty of different slopes, modern lifts, an adventurous snow park and a wonderful kids' skiing paradise. If you feel like taking a short break from the slopes, you can pamper yourself with some delicious traditional dishes in one of the numerous mountain huts.
Sledging
Ready, set and go! In proximity there are plenty of sledging trails of different length and difficulties. The most famous one is the 5 km long natural toboggan run in the skiing area of Racines, which is especially popular among families.

Cross-country skiing
The perfectly prepared cross-country ski run in Racines and the panoramic high-altitude circuit “Platschjoch” offer ideal conditions for beginners and professionals. The 12 km high-altitude trail takes you up to over 1,800 m above sea level and offers you a spectacular mountain view. A pure paradise for cross-country enthusiasts!
For the entire duration of your stay, you obtain in our hotel a free cross-country skiing pass for the area of Racines.

Deposit
Your booking becomes binding upon receipt of the deposit, which implies that you accept our booking terms and conditions. The deposit can be withheld as a cancellation fee.
Check-In / Check-Out
On the day of arrival your room will be available from 3 p.m.
On the day of departure, we ask you to leave your room by 10 a.m.
Pets
We welcome your four-legged friends on request.
Children
Our little guests can let off steam outdoors on our kid´s playground with trampoline, slide, table tennis, sandpit and small playing meadow. If the weather does not permit playing outside, a children's playroom with table football and dartboard is available. On request we provide our families with a baby cot, baby phone and baby highchair free of charge.
Parking
You can park your car free of charge on our own parking in the neighborhood.
Smokers
According to Italian law, smoking is forbidden in our hotel and therefore also in our rooms. You are welcome to smoke on our sun terrace, on our sunbathing area, or in the external heated smoking room.

Cancellation conditions
We apply the general cancellation terms and conditions which you can check on your reservation confirmation. In case of late arrival, early departure or no-show we charge 80% of the total price.

Our new indoor swimming pool is open for you daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
You can use the sauna area (Finnish sauna, steam bath, herbal sauna, infrared cabin) and the whirlpool from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Note the access times for children.

lThe holiday region Vipiteno-Racines is a real bike heaven with its flowing trails and winding pass roads! Several mountain bike and racing bike tours lead right through the surrounding mountain world up to the Passo di Monte Giovo. The magnificent scenery of the Stubai Alps guarantees plenty of memorable moments.

· The Gilfenklamm Gorge in Racines
It is the world´s only gorge that carved its way through pure white marble. A hiking trail crosses the 2.5 km long natural beauty over a suspension bridge and stairs, where visitors can admire the uniqueness of mother nature.
· Ridanna Monteneve Mining World
The Ridanna mine is one of the highest positioned in Europe. A tour of the tunnels and a visit to the mining museum are highly recommended.
· Vipiteno
Only a few kilometres from Racines you can visit the city of Vipiteno. Many small cafés, boutiques and restaurants invite you to stroll around and enjoy the city. A few years ago, the Vipiteno was ranked amongst the most beautiful Italian smaller settlements. Particularly worth seeing is the dairy plant in Vipiteno, where the processing of milk into yoghurt can be witnessed.
